Ace Tollywood director Puri Jagannath has never diversified into things other than direction. But soon, the Telugu audiences would see him doing a cameo in Naga Chaitanya’s forthcoming movie.

Grapevine has it that Puri had accepted to work in front of the camera for the sake of Chaitu’s dad Akkineni Nagarjuna. Puri and Nag are widely known to be very pally with each other and this is making the trick work now.

But even on screen, Puri is holding the megaphone firmly! He will be seen as a senior film director and Naga Chaitanya plays his assistant. Coming from Indira Productions, this yet-to-be-titled film is being directed by stylish Tamil director Gautham Menon.

Nagarjuna and Puri had worked together for Sivamani and Super. We all have to keep our fingers crossed to see if the usually camera-shy Puri is getting into any special preparations for the role or will remain his normal, unassuming self.
