High School or adult school

After a long gap though, one more film is now ready to test its mettle portraying unusual love blossoming between people of two age groups. High School is finally gearing up for release soon after going through a tough censoring session. But the producer-director team can be guaranteed of further trouble when the movie is released because of its bizarre storyline.

Tamil siren Kiran Rathod is in the lead as the ‘thirty-something’ while new face, Karthik, is playing her teenaged lover boy. The twist is not going to end with the mind-boggling storyline and the cast. Guess who has directed this flick that barely managed to get through the censor scissors?

It’s none other than Narasimha Nandi whose 1940lo oka gramam recently earned the prestigious National Award. For him, this film is only with a good message rather than sleaze. He bets High School is a ‘must-watch’ for the family audiences as well.

But the film is likely to face severe criticism from some sections of the society especially the so-called custodians of values and traditions. Even the film pundits are unable to predict how it would be received in view of its story material – a sensitive and complicated love.
