Can you shift IPL from Mumbai, Mr Modi? |  The pitfalls of Rosaiah's dinner diplomacy |  India eye solid lead   |  Krishnudu's film shooting attacked | Arjun, Tamanna 'caught' love-locked!

Chargers not aware of venue change

The IPL has shifted all Hyderabad matches to Mumbai and Nagpur but the host team Deccan Chargers have no information so far about it.

IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi has reportedly made this announcement on Twitter which was flashed on all the Telugu news channels. The news said that Mumbai will host four while Nagpur will stage three of Hyderabad’s matches.

Asked to comment on this, the Deccan Chargers management feigned ignorance of this development. It said they are starting the ticket sales from Monday.

This is an indication that all is not well between Deccan Chargers and the IPL, especially its boss, Lalit Modi. The Chargers management had also recently met Chief Minister K Rosaiah to intervene in the matter and ensure matches for Hyderabad.

When Rosaiah contacted Sharad Pawar who was on foreign tour, the latter simply expressed his inability to interfere since it is the domain of Lalit Modi. This itself came an indication to something going from bad to worse between the Chargers boss T Venkatrami Reddy and Lalit Modi.

And today’s development, once it is officially announced, would expose the communication gap between the two sides.
