Mahesh film title is Magadu

The suspense surrounding Prince Mahesh Babu’s new film is seemingly over. The think-tank of the film has reportedly zeroed in on the title ‘Magadu’ which is yet again a three-lettered (in Telugu) word.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film is currently being canned in Ramoji Film City after overcoming several hurdles. Till now, no one was sure what the title of the film could be. This is Mahesh’s first movie after a long gap of two years since Athidi.

In keeping with the title trend of his previous films, several names did the rounds in the media speculation over the last one year but none proved to be right. We now hear that ‘Magadu’ has almost been finalised as the title. Along with director Trivikram and producer Singanamala Ramesh, Mahesh Babu is also said to have taken a liking for this title.

Earlier, ‘Varudu’ was popularly perceived to be the name but that turned out to be the title of Allu Arjun’s flick, directed by Gunasekhar. There were also reports of a tussle between ‘Magadu’ and ‘Veerudu’ before the think tank voted for the first one.

It is also heard from the sources that Mahesh Babu’s most recent catchline “Chala, Inkaa Kaavaalaa?!” from his UniverCell advertisement is also being used during a critical fight sequence in the film. Incidentally, this catchline was contributed by Trivikram Srinivas who wants to exploit its popularity in his film.
